This accessibility statement applies to the Connected by Water website, https://connectedbywater.co.uk 

This website is run by Connected by Water and owned by Yorkshire Water. Yorkshire Water is committed to making its website and mobile applications accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen

How accessible this website is 

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard. 

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible due to the non-compliance listed below: 

Non-compliances 

  • Some of the PDF documents available to download within this website are not fully accessible to screen reader software.
  • Our interactive map on the “Our Projects” page is has some elements that are not accessible via a keyboard. 
  • The flood warning/alert widget which features at the top of each page has a default refresh rate to reload content every 10 minutes. This is required to keep the data accurate and up to date if the site is not manually refreshed. This refresh rate is set externally as this is an external feature provided via gov.uk. We recognise that frequent refreshing can be disorienting for website users.
